Niners on TV - Alex Smith Interviewed on CBS 5

So yesterday, the San Francisco Bay Area's CBS affiliate, CBS 5, interviewed 49ers quarterback Alex Smith on their sports magazine show "Gameday."

Conducting the interview from Lake Tahoe (where the 49ers have that team fundraiser every year) was Kim Coyle, who I know absolutely nothing about (her bio is here if you care as much).

I can't say Coyle really asked the "hard" questions of Smitty, but the video is worth a look anyway.

In short...

  • Smitty wishes the 2007 season never happened.

  • Smitty would probably like to put both Nolan and Hostler on blast for what happened in 2007, but can't.

  • Smitty is excited about Martz, but isn't visibly excited about having four offensive coordinators in four years.

  • Smitty got engaged to a blonde chick.

  • Smitty is throwing and stuff.

  • Smitty and Nolan have come to a truce.

CBS 5's Dennis O'Donnell oddly expects Smitty to be all smiles and sunshine when he's describing the worst year of his professional football career.

That's all the analysis I have in me on this one.
